Bridges:
Bridges are used to replace missing teeth. Think of a bridge as three teeth hooked together.  The natural teeth adjacent to the space or missing tooth will be prepared like a crown. And instead of a dental laboratory making individual crowns for these two teeth, a bridge consisting of crowns on each end solidly attaches to a "fake" tooth in the middle. This bridge with all three teeth hooked together is cemented on the teeth adjacent to the space and can be made to look just like natural teeth. Bridges have been used in denitstry for many years, and are still an excellent tooth-replacement option.
